Lorene Wright was born May 15, 1919 in Muskogee, OK, the daughter of Enoch and Pearl Jones and went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. She was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church for many years. On February 3, 1937 she married Wilbur L. Wright and to this union one daughter and six sons were born. Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur; four sons, Wilbur G., Billy, Johnny, and Ross; three sisters, Hattie Saucer, Gladys Harlin, Lola Hatley; and one brother, Jack Jones. She is survived by her daughter, Clara Welch and husband, Loren; two sons, Jimmy and Donald Wright all of Muskogee; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Cumerford and Dolly Bryan both of California; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Lorene will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home Chapel in Muskogee with Reverend Loren Welch officiating.
