Jesus Ybarra - Sunday, August 17th, 2014

Jesse died August 17, 2014 in Lubbock, Texas. He was born September 19, 1925 in Belton, Texas to Mauricio and Margarita (Alvarado) Ybarra. He married Esther Velasquez in Lubbock, Texas on September 27, 1947. Background: Jesse moved from Lubbock to Muleshoe in 1959. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II in Germany. He was a farmer with a great passion for music, guitar playing and baseball. Jesse enjoyed visiting with his family, neighbors and friends. He always had a smile and a hug for everyone. Jesse was a Godly man and was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the church choir. He served the Lord by serving on several church organizations throughout his life, including the Sacred Heart Organization, the Cursillo Movement, the Parish Council and the Knights of Columbus.
