Rodney Wayne Fye, 89, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the Mervyn Sharp Bennion Central Utah Veterans Home in Payson, Utah. He was born August 3, 1928, to Elmer (Ben) T. Fye and Pearl G. Combs Fye, in Sutherland, Nebraska. He was raised in Sutherland, Nebraska and graduated from Sutherland High School in 1946. He graduated in 1948 from Chillicothe Business College in Chillicothe, Missouri and was hired as a top-level executive secretary for the railroad in the Intermountain West. He served his country in the U.S. Army, 63rd Infantry Regiment, 6th Infantry Division, 115th Counter Intelligence Corps Detachment, as a Special Agent/Investigator of G-2, attached to the U.S. Marine Corps in Korea, for three years. He was honorably discharged in 1956. In addition to his assigned military duties, he simultaneously served as the Supervising Elder for all of Korea, under the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) Army Headquarters Chaplain Corps staff, traveling over 11,000 miles in six
