Marcus, Iowa – Barbara I. Wurth, 61, of Marcus, Iowa passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Heartland Care Center in Marcus following a lengthy illness. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at the Holy Name Catholic Church in Marcus. Father Eugene Murray will officiate. Private family burial will follow at a later date. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 21, 2008 at the Holy Name Catholic Church in Marcus. The family will be present from 6-8 p.m. with a Scriptural Prayer Service scheduled at 7:00 p.m. There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to Mass on Tuesday. Barbara was born June 5, 1947 in Sioux City, Iowa to Herman and Fay (Mercer) Fowler. She was raised in Morningside and graduated from East High School in 1965. She graduated from Nettleton Business College in Sioux City. Barbara met her husband-to-be, Milton Wurth, on a blind date.
