Nimbuzz, the free calls and messaging app, has unveiled Nimbuzz 2.0.2 for Android, which provides free high definition (HD) voice calls for any Android phone. It enables users of the app to make HD calls to their Nimbuzz friends who also have an Android phone. Nimbuzz auto-detects when there is a suitable 3G or wi-fi connection for HD voice calls and displays an HD indicator on the mobile screen. Nimbuzz’s new peer-to-peer calling system, combined with HD voice codec from Global IP Solutions (GIPS), makes HD quality calls possible via a direct connection between the two handsets, instead of routing the call through Nimbuzz servers.
