Nancy Ann Walker, 70, of New Ashford, MA died September 25, 2016 at Williamstown Commons after a long illness. She was born in North Adams, MA on October 18, 1945, a daughter of Basil E. and Agnes (LaBombard) Walker. She attended schools in Williamstown and in Calvert County, Maryland, and graduated from the University of Maryland. Nancy was a self employed as a bookkeeper and tax preparer for BATS, and also served as a longtime New Ashford tax collector. She was a communicant of the former St. Raphael’s Church. She leaves her husband, Arthur Henry Johnson whom she married on December 20, 1989. She also leaves 3 step-daughters Karen, Kelly, and Karla, and one sister, Eileen Steele. She was pre-deceased by her step-daughter Kathy, and two brothers, Basil Walker Jr. and William Walker. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Nancy Walker will be private for her family and friends at Sherman Burbank Chapel, Williamstown, MA on Saturday October 1, 2016.
