Tchale Figueira
I was born in the beautiful city of Mindelo, São Vicente, Cabo Verde, on October 2, 1953. My works have been exhibited in Angola, Austria, Brazil, Cabo Verde, Cuba, France, Germany, Italy, Mozambique, Portugal, Senegal, Spain, Switzerland, The Netherlands and the United States. I lived and worked in Basel, Switzerland from 1974-1985 and studied arts at Kunstgewerbeshulle, in Switzerland. My paintings have been influenced by Martin Disler, a Swiss painter, drawer and writer. I employs bright colors on canvas using not only brushes and pencils but also my fingers. Here is a list of some of the exhibits I have participated in:
