Lucien Gagnon - Monday, April 23rd, 2018
Lucien M. Gagnon, 97, beloved husband of Marian Helen (Thibeault) Gagnon for 61 years, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018. Born January 29, 1921 in Sherbrooke, Quebec, he was the son of the late Josephat and Zephirine (Morin) Gagnon. Lucien moved to the US to work at Bigelow Mills where he worked from 1956-60. He went on to work for 26 years as a custodian with the Town of Enfield Board of Education at several of the grammar schools and high school. After retirement in 1993 he worked as a crossing guard for 9 years. Lucien was a devoted family man and spent most of his time at home enjoying yard games and pool time with the family. He delighted in feeding the birds, enjoyed time outside, playing golf and billiards with friends. Lucien loved being a clown especially around kids. He could be found balancing a broom on his finger tip or some other antic to entertain the school children. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the CB radio club in the 1970’s.
