In response to new guidelines released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), the Lincoln County Health Department (LCHD) has updated quarantine guidance for close contacts of someone diagnosed with COVID-19. The updated guidance goes into effect on Monday, December 7, across the state. A 14-day quarantine is still the safest option, with this new guidance taking into account emerging scientific evidence on quarantine periods.
